Headless Charlie hails from the haunted, Northern Arizona town Jerome. Jerome is an old mining community, populated with artists and "interesting people". The name "Headless Charlie" comes from a ghost story told to the children that grew up in Jerome. It tells a story of a miner that had an obvious unfortunate accident. And to this day, Charlie roams the mine shafts with a bucket at his side searching for his head.
